What a 14 year old should be doing in a relationship, and what 17 year olds are doing in relationships are two different things. At 14 I would only let my daughter date someone who was a year younger or a year older at most, and I would definitely have rules regarding dating i. If I found my daughter taking relationships at 14 too seriously and it were interrupting her life, I would take her dating privileges from her. If I found out there was an older guy involved with my 14 year old, first I would talk to her about why the age difference was too much, of course I'd expect to get the whole thing about how mature she is and boys her age are boring typical 14 year old logic, ya know?
